What happens is that i trust the ID contractore more because my brain said I should listen to someone more knowledgable. But I forgot that the one who's gonna live in this house is me, not them. They are good at their work theoretically. But I am the one who's gonna live it.
These are some of my regrets. Well, not really a regret but it can be done better.
- not positioning the laundry at the side of the house where the sun exposure is the most optimal.
- positioning the sink and the window facing the neighbor's sideyard. I don't like the view. Also I feel that I am intruding their privacy. So I have put some plants right in front of the window. And I only pull up a fraction of the window blinds, even though the window is tinted (neighbour cannot see us). I should have position it facing the backyard.
- not leaving more space at the backyard for gardening.
- better space design with a separate conversational space. currently the living room/conversational space is also the TV area. In which my father in law is almost most of the time watching TV there. So..
But what can I do about it?
I just embrace it and adapt to it.
We can only plan but we never know the realistic plan until we live in it, until we know the real flow.
Nevertheless... Alhamdulillah for everything. We have a spacious home. We are able to bring our parents to stay with us so that we can take care of them. Our girls have their en-suite bathroom. I have a large kitchen with big kitchen island.
Alhamdulillah...
Embrace and syukur..
I just wish that Allah will grant me with the most beautiful house in heaven. How? There is a hadith saying that if you pray 10/12 rakaat of solat sunat rawatib everyday, Allah will build a beautiful palace for you in heaven. (I will find the exact hadith later).
That is what I am currently trying to achieve. Still struggling, especially qabliah and ba'diah zuhur. Insya allah, may Allah give me the will and strength to do it.
When you think about Allah's promise, there is nothing in this world that can compare to that. So any lack, shortage or things you don't have in this world, just ask Allah to give them to you in heaven. That is the best. Aim for that. But you need to work for it to ensure you go to heaven. So do what pleases Allah, leave things that displease Allah.
I am struggling but I am trying.
May Allah help us and give us the will.
